I am #FAAT - Forever Against Animal Testing

Anyone who knows me know that I love animals very very much. I love bunnies and rabbits most of all. I have two lovable bunny boys, Marion and Oreo, whom I love dearly. So as a bunny mom, I follow fellow bunny parents on their social media. One of my favorites is Bunny Mama, or sometimes known as Eddy & Rambo, her first two adorable bunnies who are already at the rainbow bridge. One day, I came across their Facebook page and saw that she and her bunnies were #FAAT, Forever Against Animal Testing.

The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International came up with a signature campaign to petition the total end of animal testing in cosmetics and beauty products. According to Bunny Mama's Facebook post, "8 million signatures will allow them to take their petition to the United Nations to request an international convention that bans animal testing globally. 80% of the world's countries have no laws against animal testing, and some even *require* it. Alternative testing is not only more humane, but often cheaper, quicker, and more accurate. In 2013 the EU banned animal testing for cosmetics - which was a major step forward - but it's only the beginning! Let's help them in their mission to make it global. #ad Sign the petition and spread it around. #ForeverAgainstAnimalTesting #TheBodyShopAmbassador"

I was really so happy that there was actually one cosmetic company out there that cared for animals and has products that are organic. I actually don't wear make-up, and this is the primary reason.  Aside from the fact that it will just give me an unnatural look (no offense here, this is my personal opinion), I've despised wearing make-up as a protest to cosmetic and beauty product companies that test their products on animals, most of which are especially rabbits. So when I heard about The Body Shop's campaign, I was really delighted.

Just last week I bought my first product from them (foot scrub lol because I badly needed it) but also because I wanted to ask them about the campaign. Basically, apart from the online petition, they even ask you once you buy from them if you can manually sign the petition as well. So a few days ago, I told my mom to check out their make-up and told her to throw her old brands, because these were the brands that test on rabbits, particularly (I won't namedrop, don't worry). When my mom was about to pay, they asked her to sign as well.

This feels really good because in a way, I feel like I'm making a small difference for these animals. It has really long been my advocacy to protect animals, especially the stray domesticated ones (dogs, cats, rabbits). I admit, I'm not vegan, but I don't eat anything else aside from the basic meat (which is not the point of this article; I can talk about that in another post).

Anyway, please please please do sign the online petition! Please help make a difference for these helpless animals. They deserve to live as much as we do. ANIMALS ARE NOT EXPERIMENTS. ANIMALS ARE NOT TOYS. Be #FAAT. Be Forever Against Animal Testing. Sign the petition here!

Thank you and together let us save more bunnies and animals!
