As a huge Harry Potter fan, I think it's only normal that I'm one of those people extremely excited and looking forward to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Since it came out this November 16 though, the second installment of five films in JK Rowling's expanded Wizarding World prequel series has gotten quite the backlash. So I will try to even out the playing field and point out both good and bad points from the movie (not all films are perfect) and will try to breakdown the questions that left fans bewildered and shook at the end of the film.

I don't know about you, but I am a complete sucker for Christmas movies. Or, at least, movies that are set during the Christmas/holiday season - especially if it's a romantic comedy of some sorts - which is usually the case. Case in point: Serendipity. But I'll save that for another post! Right now, I'd like to compare two of Netflix's holiday offers.

I haven't written anything here in over a month, yikes. I've really been busy with work and my spare time was mostly spent resting. Though my job now isn't as exhausting as the ones before, emotionally and mentally at least, it still requires physical energy, especially since I have more responsibilities now.

Fun, exciting and unexpected. Three words sum up my review on Lucas Film and Disney's latest installment. Forget what the haters say -- Solo: A Star Wars Story was a film that achieved more than it was expected to.

Okay folks, I know that it's been over a month since Avengers: Infinity War came out and it's been a mortal crime to leak any spoilers during those times -- I myself have been a victim of those who are so butthurt (and irresponsible) in avoiding spoilers. I mean come on, you don't want to get spoiled so don't go on social media! It's not rocket science? I was able to manage to stay off social media for three days since the premiere and I dodged spoilers like a bullet.

But that's not why I'm writing this post! I'm specifically writing this to, hmm celebrate? No, more like to question the Russos and Marvel as to why they hurt us this way yet we, ever-loyal fans, still beg for it. This is going to be lengthy but I'll try my best to keep it simple (I invested so much emotion -- and money!! -- towards this damn movie okay)

It's been nearly a month since the phenomenon Black Panther came out in theaters and well it's about time I'd write a little something about it. If you haven't seen it by this point, which I honestly doubt, then stop reading. I promise it won't be spoiler-free at all because I'll be gushing about how and why this movie literally crushed the box office.

I have two cases-in-point to answer that: two little films called A Walk to Remember and Letters to Juliet. You probably have heard of them, maybe even seen them (perhaps a hundred times, like me?) Yes, these are my two favorite romance films ever. Not classic drama love stories like Titanic or The Notebook, though I love those as well. There's just something about these two particular movies that tugs my heartstrings every time I watch them; I hope I can point it out in this post.

       A day after I saw
The Greatest Showman in theaters, someone asked me how the film was because I shared a clip of the This Is Me scene on Facebook. I only gave him one answer: 11/10. Two days later, he goes to see the film himself and understood why I gave it that rating.

Hello! I'd like to dedicate my first post for the year to this little series I fell absolutely in love with. As a history geek, The Crown easily captured my interest. And as I continued watching episode after episode, the reasons as to why it's now my favorite series ever just piled up. There are already so many other posts as to why Netflix's The Crown is a must-watch but I'll try to add to that.

December 27, 2016, Philippine time. I was lying down in bed that morning scrolling through Facebook because I was on Christmas break thus enjoying the holidays and just lounging around. One of my friends tagged me in this post that went something like "Carrie Fisher rushed to LA hospital due to heart attack". I thought it was a hoax. And then another two or three friends tagged me in similar posts. No, no, no. This isn't happening, I said.

Then before the day ended, CNN broke the news we were all afraid to hear. She was 60, and just appeared as a CGI-d version of her younger self in Rogue One a few days before. Oh and it was also just a few days after she released her latest (and last) book, The Princess Diarist, in which she dropped the biggest secret of her life ever. Imagine, the last thing she did was tell the whole world that she slept with Harrison Ford.

Okay so, first off - I've done three movie reviews in a row, this being the third, and I'd just like to explain that I really haven't had anything interesting to write about, so here we are. Anyway, for most of the people who know me, they really know that I'm a film junkie - I never miss out on the blockbusters every year. :P

Anyway, I think this might be the first post on here that will express my love for Star Wars. Fair warning, this post is NOT spoiler-free. So you know what to do, basically. I've seen the movie twice already lol so this will probably be a really detailed review. Brace yourselves.

I didn't know much about Murder on the Orient Express until last month when I saw the trailer. I was actually going to watch it for Daisy Ridley (because I'm a geek like that and I love her), plus I love a movie with a good storyline. It wasn't until last night after seeing the film did I know more about the movie and the story behind it.

Last weekend, I went to see Thor: Ragnarok with my boyfriend. I think it's safe to post a movie review now since it already hit theaters almost everywhere this weekend. I had some friends who went to see it on opening day Tuesday and wow, all their reviews were so positive. It's the highest rated superhero movie ever on Rotten Tomatoes and possibly one of Marvel's best films ever (probably my second favorite next to Captain America: The Winter Soldier).

I'm finally posting again! Life has taken much of a toll on me, both physically and emotionally, but I'll write about that in another post. Allow me to make a good vibes post first. :)

A little fun fact about me that few people know is that I really love broadway musicals. My all-time favorite is The Sound of Music. I can also name many more but if there's one musical I will never get tired of watching and listening to, it's definitely The Sound of Music.

Haiiii! It's been ages since I last posted on here. That's because nothing exciting has happened in my life since I last posted. I guess this ends that stagnant phase. I just basically want to share my personal experience of this year's AsiaPOP Comicon!

Over the weekend, I went to see the already box-office hit Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, and directed by Patty Jenkins. (Update: I actually saw it for a second time yesterday! Nope, still not over it.) So unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you’ll know that Wonder Woman is the movie everyone is literally talking about. It’s currently the #1 movie in the world, garnering $223 during its opening weekend last week. It’s also being called the best superhero movie ever. And for a good reason. (From this point on, this post will include spoilers so please don’t read on if you haven’t watched yet!)
